Florida Panthers playing in Super Bowl, says Canadian TV (Photo)

It’s a pretty good time to be a Panther.

The NHL’s version sit atop the Atlantic Division and have the second-best record in the Eastern Conference. They also employ hockey legend Jaromir Jagr.

The NFL’s version will play in a pretty big football game on Sunday and look to finish their season 18-1. They also employ the likely NFL MVP in Cam Newton and the guy who the movie “The Blind Side” was based on, Michael Oher.

While the Carolina Panthers will face the Denver Broncos in the Super Bowl, one French-language TV show in Canada seems to want to see Jagr, Aaron Ekblad and Roberto Luongo play in “The Big Game” rather than Newton and Luke Kuechly. The Florida Panthers definitely took notice.

The image comes from Le Sportnographe which captured the mixup on Le Téléjournal.

Somewhere, Los Angeles television stations breathe a sigh of relief that for once it’s not them screwing up.
